We all know this age old adage 'Slow and steady wins the race'. Most of us wonder in this hi tech age where everything is technology driven, does this age old adage still hold true ??
Well, we cannot answer that is a straight and plain YES or NO.
Quite often we develop a impression about any event / any person / any object based on what we see ( the visible ), overlooking the practice / parts / technology / planning which goes behind the scene. Amazed by the visible performance we develop a hard to be erased opinion about a person or a object.
Lets take the example of a biker riding a high speed Motor bike. In any event we see a scintillating performance by that biker and develop a view, 'Oh! what great speed and what great biker'. Lets go a bit deeper. We overlook the uncountable hours, efforts and hard toll that the biker has spent before he delivers a flawless high speed ride in a event. Overlooking this fact we jump on statements like, 'Oh! there's nothing so special in that win. If I had such bike I would have performed much better!'. Now for a second, re evaluate your statement taking into account the uncountable hours, efforts and hard toll that the biker has spent. Definitely, you would like to be moderate and your statement won't remain the same.
Lets take another simple example of two friends who are equally brilliant, intelligent and hard working in school. One of them believes in practice and other one does not. Its quite probable that the person who practices is bound to be more confident than the other one in circumstances of taking any exam.
Through this article I just wish that you think a little on the topic and decide for yourself its correctness and validity in contemporary times.
