We all are unique as we are, naturally. Different tastes, different likes, different dislikes, different natures, different moods, and ...
Many a times we feel ourselves in a dilemma as to what kind of personality we are or what kind of a job profile we will best fit into. Ultimately we jump into wrong areas, of which we do not have a natural affinity to. We see so many people around us who are settled into a job stream not by choice but by chance. And reluctantly they keep moving in the same line because either now they fear switching and making a new start or they love Newtons' first law of motion very much!!
I share here, the four kinds of orientation one may fall into, and feel comfortable in.
People, Process, Action and Idea.
People Orientation - You love meeting people, sharing their problems, views, convincing them. People of this orientation are generally extroverts and fit very well in areas of marketing, consulting and PR.
Process Orientation - Technology fascinates you. How things work, how does a machine work ? People of this orientation feel happy in engineering functions.
Action Orientation - Challenges, adventures lure you. You are the 'get going' type of a person. People of this orientation are highly energetic, active and performers. Sports is one clear field which lures you.
Idea Orientation - The urge to do new things or looking at same things with a new angle is the driving force in people of this orientation. The world is open for you in all possible conventional as well as non conventional trades.
